Free Face-to-Face Counseling
The primary services this chapter's volunteer counselors provide are the one-on-one counseling sessions with their clients. Already in Business? Want to Brainstorm New Ideas? Troubleshoot a Problem? Explore Finance Growth? Our experienced business counselors can meet with you at one of our local chapter offices, or at your business location, or at another public site.
Free Telephone & Email Counseling
This chapter's members respond to all clients' phone calls and email messages to provide supplemental amplification/clarification on ideas, concerns, issues, problems, suggestions, and other matters discussed during counseling sessions.
Free Office/Online Business Materials
We acquire, distribute, and provide links to a wide range of useful business literature, including: self assessment considerations, business idea analysis checklist, business readiness tool, business plan topics, financial management workbook, business health questions, online business guidebook, and business survival tips.
Business Meetings, Seminars and Workshops
We also co-sponsor local business breakfasts, seminars and workshops to exchange business information, insights, and ideas with client groups, including the the following events in 2009:
- Shenandoah Valley SBDC "Small Business Stimulus Update" Seminar on June 23.
- Harrisonsburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce "Business Smarts" Breakfasts
- Greater Augusta Regional Chamber of Commerce "Business Fundamentals" Breakfasts
- Shenandoah Valley SBDC "Plan It / Start It" Workshops
